I've personally found LinkedIn to be a great resource. It's been an excellent way to connect with forward thinking creatives, marketers and business owners. I'd like to share with you here the discussions I've found either generally interesting or chocked full of resources:
"Are there any good digital magazines around?" has over 130 comments presently, is ongoing, and full of links. Inspiring and savvy. Found in the Magazines group.
"Print Publishing to Digital - Make Your Move" has 50 comments from industry leaders discussing the ins and outs of digital publishing - anything from advertising practices to formats. Found in the FOLIO: MediaPRO - Magazine & eMedia Publishing Professionals group.
"E-magazines - useful? or Pointless?" has some nice meaty responses and good samples. Found in the DPN Digital Publishing Network group.
"Moving from print to digital - Is it a good day or sad day?" - 118 comments thus far. Excellent read to hear about transitioning from other publishers. Found in the Magazines group.
"What can magazines do to become profitable once they go digital/web only?" - self explanatory title there. Has 84 comments thus far and is a meaty discussion. Found in the Magazines group.
"How would you define green publishing and printing?" - interesting debate involving paper vs. digital. Found in Green Publishing group.
"PDF to XML" - this is a technical post but has some good resources for publishers interested in going the XML route. Found in the DPN Digital Publishing Network group.
